The initiative invites schools, charities, care homes and community groups in
Oxford to apply for a biodiverse landscape transformation using Wildflower
Co.’s ready-grown wildflower turf. The winning organisation will receive up to
50 square metres of turf, worth £2,000, along with practical guidance on
establishment, aftercare and maintenance.
Creating biodiverse community spaces in Oxford
This community project brings together Wildflower Co. and Blenheim Estate
Homes around a shared goal: creating greener, more nature-rich places that
benefit both people and wildlife.
By introducing a wildflower meadow into a community setting, the
competition will help support pollinators, encourage biodiversity, and create
an outdoor space with long-term value for local people. Whether used for
learning, wellbeing or shared enjoyment, these habitats can make a lasting
difference in the communities they serve.
Applications are open to Oxford organisations until 24 May, with entrants
asked to explain who they are, why they are applying, and how a transformed
green space would benefit their community.

The judging panel will include representatives from Wildflower Co., Pye
Homes and Blenheim Estate, with the winning organisation due to be selected
by 31 May and installation planned for the end of June.
To be considered, organisations are required to submit an inspiring 200-word
entry to property@cabcampaign.co.uk explaining who they are, why they are
putting their community forward, and an image of the current space they’d
like transformed for the wildflower meadow makeover by 24 May.
